Susie

CO-FOUNDER

Trauma-Informed Coach | Specialist in Separation, Divorce & Family Wellbeing

Susie is a trauma-informed coach specialising in separation, divorce, and family wellbeing. ICF-trained and grounded in evidence-based approaches, she supports individuals—particularly mothers—in navigating the emotional and practical complexities of family breakdown with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

With a Master’s in Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Family Therapy, and training in Positive Parenting, Susie integrates therapeutic insight with coaching tools to help clients feel more resourced, make authentic decisions, and move forward in hopeful, sustainable ways.

Her work is informed not just by professional expertise but by lived experience. As a mother of three and a stepmother, Susie understands the realities of parenting through separation, blended family life, and the long tail of high-conflict dynamics. Her own journey through a complex divorce brings a depth of empathy and realism to her practice.

Alongside her coaching, Susie offers specialist guidance on post-separation communication, co-parenting, and keeping children emotionally safe through transition. She also speaks and writes publicly on the systemic challenges families face—particularly around financial abuse, coercive control, and the need for trauma-informed, power-aware reform in family law. Her advocacy work centres on giving voice to those so often marginalised in these processes, ensuring that children’s wellbeing and long-term stability remain the priority.

Liz

CO- FOUNDER

Trauma Therapist & Coach | Specialist in Separation, Divorce & Financial Trauma

Liz is a Somatic Trauma Therapist and coach with over 12 years’ experience supporting women through the complex aftermath of toxic relationships, coercive control, and high-conflict divorces. Her work is deeply informed by both her professional expertise and her personal journey — including the power imbalances she has witnessed and lived through, pre- and post-divorce.

Liz has helped hundreds of women not only navigate emotional trauma, but also recover from the financial devastation that so often accompanies abusive dynamics. She understands that the impact extends beyond individuals, rippling through families and across generations.

A fierce advocate for those who are so often silenced, Liz now combines therapeutic work with public speaking and advocacy. She is currently finishing a bold, potentially controversial book that challenges the systemic issues within the divorce landscape — from how professionals handle family breakdown to the wider cultural forces at play. Liz believes that only by addressing the bigger picture can we create real, lasting change.

How we began…

Family Flow was about to have lift off as an exciting new platform for parents giving them access to a toolkit and team of trusted global professionals to support them on their parent journey.

To help families be as healthy as possible.

But then Susie, the founder, hit her own major hurdle of experiencing a highly complicated divorce.

Ha, the irony! But it was precisely because she knew what healthy looks like that she decided to end her marriage.

Queue a huge pause while she navigated the family through the turbulence followed by a huge business pivot to this evolution of Family Flow, having experienced what mothers need in the darkest of times.

Susie and Liz met through an amazing women’s network that had helped and supported both of them on their path to clarity and healing.

At Family Flow we know that our values guide us so we can guide you, and that in turn they will vibrate out from you to those in your orbit, making a difference to your journey and future.

Client Testimonials

  • I worked with Liz because I was broken from my divorce which was high conflict and I knew I had so much trauma on both the money AND relationship side. From the get go I knew Liz understood and it was truly the first time I felt genuinely heard without someone trying to escape because they felt awkward or give me useless advice with no empathy for what I've been through.

  • Feel really good about what we went through last night, I have been thinking about it but not in a bad way, I'm amazed. Thank you so much I can't wait for the effects of future sessions! I already feel a weight is lifted off my shoulders. I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much again for everything you have done, I do feel such a different person & I thoroughly appreciate that."

  • Working with Liz has been a game changer and moved my healing journey forward quickly and positively. I sought out her support following my divorce being finalised and hitting an emotional wall following several months of bad dating experiences. This made me realise I needed to process heartbreak and hurt from my abusive marriage and some of the historical traumatic events in my life from before I'd met my ex-husband."

    Laura

  • Thank you SO much for yesterday, my head was spinning when I came to see you, it’s all so overwhelming…but I feel so much lighter and clearer today and I feel like somehow it’s all going to be ok. It’s so great to have some manageable action steps which makes me feel like I’ve got some control over this crazy ride.

  • The fear of what all this is doing to the children is so overwhelming, but I feel so much better after these sessions with you because I feel so much more confident that I can hold and navigate whatever comes up for them. Thank you Susie.
